My 2011 Rail (not reflex) will start firing at around 35, but I still run around the stock setting of 40 +/- 2 for smoothness/air efficiency. I also found that I need to run higher quality batteries otherwise the solenoid doesn't operate properly leading to the *pufft* sound. I am going to try the Rayovac and Duracell Lithium 9volts this weekend and see if I can get more than one weekend out of a battery. Otherwise I buy the Costco packs of Duracell 9volts and just replace the battery each weekend I go out. Also, be sure the bolt is lubed up, it can take a lot of lube, and make sure it's all put back together properly. I found that my bolt comes out in two pieces sometimes when I remove the back cap and slide the bolt out. Those two pieces should go back together in one and inserted back into the gun in one piece. I am learning more and more tweaks as I research (Google) and maintain my gun so if you have any other questions let me know.

I went through this before. I have the 2011 Rail and quite honestly with the cost of paint these days, anything higher than 15bps is just a waste of $$$.

To answer your question about increasing your BPS beyond 15 for the Rail, not going to happen. The solenoid on the rail limits how fast it can cycle, which controls your max Rate of Fire. To increase your BPS you will need to purchase a new gun that has a higher rate of fire specification.

The reason why I got the rail, knowing that it only does a max of 15 bps, is that it is an extremely accurate gun for the price and because of the DYE name for their customer support.

Cutting Edge in San Jose is still open. Located on Race Street. Was there just yesterday getting some paint and gear. Trying to keep our one local store open. He still offers $5 off per case when you buy 2 or more.
