So I recently started doing some video editing and was wondering how to speed up rendering in After Effects. I was thinking to get more ram, I have 4gb, but After Effects says i'm only using 70% so would I notice a difference. I have a fairly nice computer, i5 2500k, Z77 Biostar mobo, Gigabyte 7770. Would overclocking make a difference.
So I just downloaded Steam on my basement computer , and am getting terrible download speeds. I get peak 4.2 mb/s even though i pay for 30mb/s.
Is this just normal or is it a problem? Yes I know there was one of these threads before but that was about torrenting, I'm downloading from Steam
So in march i'm probably going to get a new PC or Laptop, depending on my needs so I know what Laptop I would want but in the PC department I need some help. I've been looking at this this but would it be good for gaming?. So my budget is 650 but I would like to spend under 500. Do you guys have any suggestions, I'll be using the PC for gaming and schoolwork, but if I get into this one school i'm applying into then I'll get this, because I won't do as much gaming just maybe some Minecraft. If I don't get in I'll be playing more games like BF3 and others. So whats a good gaming PC for about 650?
Edit: I saw this, I think it's pretty nice, but it's a little out of my price range.
