Hey guys, saw we had a car thread but I wanted to make one specifically for American muscle, especially old school muscle. If any of you have any cool garage projects, or cool muscle cars you've maintained well, or just want to share your dream car, feel free to post it here.
As I stated in the main car thread, my dream car is a 1970 (or '71) Dodge Challenger with either a completely rebuilt and upgraded 440 Magnum converted to electronic fuel injection, OR a 3rd generation Hemi from a Hellcat Challenger (6.2L engine, supercharged, 707 horsepower and 650 foot pounds of torque), with headers and a performance exhaust system with whatever engine I choose. Transmission: either a Tremec T56 6 speed manual or a Torqueflite 727 with an overdrive gear splitting kit (puts an overdrive into every gear, gives me 6 instead of 3 gears). I'll be completely replacing the suspension and brake systems with an RMS AlterKtion coil-over suspension kit for the front, and a Street Lynx rear, anti-sway bars included. Brakes will either be Brembo or Wildwood discs, 6 piston in the front and 4 in the rear.
May be cutting new wheel tubs to run 18's or 19's all around, performance tires with appropriately styled rims, new paint job, and a completely new modern style interior that still has an old-school inspiration, and of course Classic Auto Air air conditioning. I haven't worked out a lot of the details yet, especially with the aesthetics (I haven't even decided what color to paint the car), but its slowly coming together
