In Topic: reflex, axe, or used super

I don't mind about having a little less performance in a reflex or axe, because they would be NEW. and the idea of me opening a fresh box to the marker and having the original parts and being the only owner would ease my mind. I do not plan on going pro or anything

It sounds to me like you'd be happiest with a new marker then. I'd get an Axe over the Reflex.

In Topic: Halo B v35 Hopper not spinning

22 December 2013 - 04:14 AM

A Halo should spin if there are no paintballs detected (ie also when hopper is empty it spins and spins). The eyes (as I remember on my old Halo) should be taped around the inside of the upper feedneck portion. Perhaps they are bad?

I don't know if it is worth fixing the situation or not. Halo shells suck so badly that I would honestly buy a more modern and tool-less hopper.

If you want better protection, look into the Vforce Profilers. You will want the dual pane lens (it comes stock with single lens, still didn't fog for me with those).

If you are fogging with an Eflex, I really think you are in a crazy adverse situation (It is a solid goggle system). Also keep in mind that when your face gets low to the ground, especially if there is fresh moisture in the ground, you are much more liable to fog.

I don't know if this is an option for you, but I shoot into a trashcan in my garage.

I like this. I've shot into a bucket or big cooler before, and the shell ricochets a bit at the ball splats and goes all over.  A deeper object, such as a durable big rubber trashcan will not become damaged and should contain about everything.

In Topic: Good budget barrel for a tippman gryphon?

I answered the OP and was staying true to the topic.

I agree; you did. The OP should invest in a better gun next, assuming he has a decent mask, loader, tank (not a given). Any extra cash put towards a Gryphon is unfortunately wasted. A Gryphon is a stopgap to a real setup, at best.
