there aren't enough tools to measure it. So every opinion should be critiqued and used when looking for a marker. Of course first hand reviews are probably the best deal breakers to use.

Well I tried to bring in my own experiences seeing as i have owned the axe and all your saying is people see pros shoot it and have none of their own experiences with it will speak off their own hand and give a useless opinion. Since there are no numbers on the Drone I gave my personal prediction/hypothesis with the information I had from personal experience. The only way to truly tell which gun is better performance wise using science and math was also listed in my response. Which no one does and no numbers are ever really found for things like accuracy kick etc.

Everything else is mearly personal preference i.e. looks feel and weight etc..

I actually only brought you up specifically because you're already forming opinions without any base, because you haven't shot/held/tested the DX (I probably didn't word it very well, but that was my intention). You can't really claim it's just preference or experience, when you have no basis for assumptions.

It's like Cookybiscuit deciding it'll be bad just because it's a blow-forward.

Well idk specifics on that. I believe the only hardware difference to make a refernce to wold be the solenoid anyways... but I know axe feel shot and efficency was amazing. and was really blown away. It was the most I ever spent on a marker because it was the first one I bought new so you cant really say it was good for a mid range marker. but you could say because I bought it new that my standards were not as high as they would be if I was trading with a private seller online.

so if pros started using azodins are they better than drones?

You're missing the point. Whether or not pros use it has no effect on how good it is. I remember when the Axe first came out, it wasn't such a big deal, but then when it was announced that a lot of teams were shooting them, almost overnight I started to see "OMG the Axe is so awesome, just look how many teams are shooting them," etc. These people, without having seen or tested the gun, were ready to proclaim how awesome it was, just because of advertising.

Now, I'm not saying the Axe isn't good, I'm saying sponsorship has zero effect on the performance of the gun.

Very few people have actually gotten their hands on a Drone DX, and people are already dismissing it. To borrow from SimonTaub above, he's already saying that the Axe will be better, yet he hasn't even held/felt/shot the DX. That just goes to show the power of sponsorships and advertising. I can guarantee that if a bunch of teams were shooting the DX, the response would be much better.
