The attack is bad enough, but the reporting was so sad its almost funny.

1.Frozen paint? myth
2.It it was frozen it somehow "

white paint splurged on her chest

"???
3. "

I donít see a frozen paintball any different from a bullet,Ē the woman said. How bout she got a bruse not a bullet hole.

Paint Break Testing

05 August 2011 - 11:04 AM

Has anyone done any testing as to what it takes to break various types of paint. There is always talk about brittle paint and such but what are the actual standards. Also then what are the main contributors? Meaning, what are the various contributions from storage, shell thickness, shell composition, how the shell is sealed, etc for typical paintballs? Is the likely hood of a paintball breaking at various stages throughout its life cycle different based upon those contributors. Meaning if it has a thin shell is it more likely to bounce on a padded surface than if it has a weak seam, all other factors equal for example.

Just wondering if anyone has done any work in this area, other than X breaks in gun out of Y cases. Or A breaks on target out of B shots. Then if X/Y>Z or A/B >C its brittle paint.
