Hey guys I live near BAP and SCP is within striking range. The weekend is usually better for me considering my sports commitments. I'll keep up with you guys on the forum. Hope to see you out there sometime!

Well If I'm going to get lenses that have autofocus integrated in them, not having integrated autofocus in the body wouldn't be an issue. What other issues are there that relates to not having autofocus integrated into the camera body?

I will eventually get more lenses, but I am just mainly starting out, as I am just an enthusiast and I will more likely be taking pictures of the scenic images because I live literally 200 yards away from a Bay. I am also looking forward to taking just portraits/random shots of nature as well. My main question is, Do you think the D60 is a nice camera for a semi-starter that can pay around 500 or so, and what lenses are appropriate for each activity (E.G What lens is good for Sports? What lens is good for nature/Wildlife, What lens is good for all around, everyday use?)

Now I'm edging on the side of getting a D60, this would be the make up I could buy from Amazon.com for 500$(Including Shipping) Nikon D60 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens. Do you think that would be a good choice.
