need a high end hopper

01 February 2015 - 06:54 PM

Been at college for over a year so I really dropped out of paintball but got a job and a place and got my gear now. I don't care about the old soft goods or that my Etek 3 LT is "outdated". All I need is to get my tank hydrod and I need to get rid of my halo and get a good high end hopper. So advice? What's came out new and has anything changed about the older hoppers. I know the rotor, the pinokio, the spire, and the prophecy. I also remember hearing something about GI making a hopper. Was that any good? Thanks for any help guys.

It's that time of year again!

It's that time of year again people. Living legends is right around the corner and I'm doing what I do every year. I start exercising harder, I triple check all my gear works, I research new things to buy or try out, I watch new videos and videos from last year, and i familiarize myself with the new names on the field.

Then I wait til the following monday to see how LL went this year.

I have never gone to living legends but now I am officially out of my parents house I have a job and I can start saving up for gear and next years LL8. So now I have a list of sh*t and I would like some reviews or alt choices.

Hopper: yes I know theres a thousand this vs this but the only good hoppers I know are prophecy rotor pinokio and the spire was almost brand new when I fell out of paintball. Is there a new competitor or did something happen to any of those? I couldn't find the spire on ansgear and I heard G.I. sports were coming out with something but I haven't heard anything about it. Also wasn't the vapor suppose to have a hopper come with it when they finally released it? Is it good? Can you buy it separately?

Radio: I have heard nothing but good things about the Midland GXT1000VP4, but other suggestions would be great.

New marker: I had an Etek 3 and played with it forever and it was always a great marker but I'm ready to look into high ends. Machine Vapor, JT Impulse (I believe), Empire Vanquish (sorry if I got those 2 mixed up), G.I. Victus, Vanguard demon (personal fav), and an Ego LV1 are the ones I saw before I dropped out but what about bob long or alien or anything else thats new.  Yes I know i skipped a couple like dye and the Geos (personally hate dye, its just my opinion) but if anyone could give me a quick overview or some reasons why or why not to get one any help would be great. Also pretty sure I'll be picking up that cheap bt  pump gun for FS rounds and just sling it on my back. Possibly a pistol for S&Gs but I'm not carrying 3 markers on the field lol.

Vest/camelback: Empire tht static looks good (heard about it from mike) but what kind of camel back would I be able to wear or hook on to it? I was looking at this one

I'm doing my own research but actual reviews or suggestions from people is almost always better then reading a product description.

A few questions

28 April 2014 - 07:09 PM

I have a speech to do and I'm doing it on paintball and I have a few questions that I can't find the answers to. And a few I want to get confirmed.

How fast can speedball players run? or who is the fastest and how fast is he?

500 paintballs weigh about 3.5 lbs.

Pro teams can go through 20+ cases of paint.

How much do 10 pods weigh?

and how much would say a vanquish ninja 68/45 full rotor and 5 pods weigh.

I can only use school computers for now and most paintball sites are blocked so any help would be great.
