Get the etek.. It will be worth the wait

Oh, I plan to get it. I just wasn't sure if I really wanted to hang in there with my mech or fix the VS1 and start playing electronic again since I enjoy it much more. Pretty much, I'm looking at around $35+/- for the Tadao board and the spring pack, or $55+/- if I get the Tadao AND the upgrade chip for it. What it would cost for one trip to the field, more or less. I think I can sacrifice that and be happier in the long run.

I'm pretty well starting from scratch... I have a pod pack, some gloves, cleats, those two guns, a vLocity SF, a shake and shoot... I have a couple of old JT masks, but the lenses are so old that I don't trust them. First things first, I'm getting a mask and a tank because renting one is just an extra expense every time I play. Probably a V Force Grillz and Ninja Grey Ghost 68/4500 or Empire 68/4500, depending on funds.

That's what I've been thinking. I found out today the springs and macroline are gonna be cheaper than I had originally thought. In fact, my field said they'd replace my macroline for free as long as the fittings don't need to be replaced as well. As well as the fact that I'll be much more prone to buying my pads, pants, and jersey instead of trying to save for a gun if I keep playing with it.

After the first hit the fear goes away. It's mostly in your head. Happens all the time and eventually it'll go away and you'll become more competitive.

So much this. Every time I go to the field I'm nervous until the first game, once I'm shot that first time I'm fine. Mind over matter, man.

I wish my field was more strict on everything. I went yesterday and had the worst experience I've ever had. People over shooting, shooting hot, running up on little kids and shooting them point blank, bonus balling me and everyone else every time they got out (even with their gun in the air)... With the refs doing nothing about it. In fact, one guy ran up behind a guy and called him out because he didn't wanna shoot him point blank in the back, and he went to the ref and said, "Man, that was totally bs. His barrel didn't touch me, I wasn't out. I should've lit him up." Ref's response? "I would've unloaded on that punk." Totally unprofessional.

Terrible, most god-awful experience I've had in paintball.
