I'm hoping my company buys one. We have a hero2, but we do not like the limited amount of frame rates.
The black edition hero3 fixes all that and even shoots 4k (albeit at 15fps).
that is pretty much useless, 4k is nice as you can crop the video and still get amazing clarity.
the nice part is the improved noise reduction, improved low light performance and the 60FPS at 1080p
The 4k feature isn't useless. 15fps is used a lot for sequences intended to be sped up.
For normal stuff, it doesn't help too much, but the fact that this little tiny, cheap box can shoot at that resolution is pretty damn cool.
It's also a sniff of what they'll be able to do next time.
