Topics I've Started

Late Night Stress and Regret

15 October 2012 - 12:41 AM

I started a backup on my PS3 about 5 hours ago. I start doing my homework at 11PM(I procrastinate WAY too much for an asian...) knowing I have a ton of work to do. It's already 12:36 AM and I haven't even finished half of this crap. I check on the progress of the backup and it has 3 more minutes left. I start looking for my wire for my controller, lo and behold I accidentally knock the connected hard drive off the platform it was sitting on and I see on the screen 'cannot access whatever'. I had to start the backup process and it's back to another 5 hours. And I need to do a ton of homework. I feel stupid right now. I'm wasting even more time typing this up. YAY!

Deciding My Master Plan

16 September 2012 - 06:54 PM

So basically what's going on here is that Chicago Public Schools has a strike going on. I just had a whole week off, and I just totally neglected my homework. And it's a lot of homework.
Dunno what happened today, but it seems there was a disagreement on a contract for whatever reason.

-Strike continues and school may be open on Wednesday.
-Borderlands 2(yes, it's a video game) is coming out on Tuesday/Monday night.
-Go ham on homework today and tomorrow
-Get BL2 and party at Gamestop for about 2.4 minutes
-Go home and play until I get a migraine

Good plan guys?

New Ego 11 DART Bolt Kit

13 September 2012 - 01:21 PM

The Ego11 DART kit is a full drop-in Valve Guide, Exhaust Valve and Bolt kit designed exclusively for the Ego11.

Designed to improve every facet of the Ego11's feel and performance the DART kit increases efficiency and reduces sound signature and felt recoil as well being more gentle on paint in both the loading and the firing actions.

The DART kit enables the Ego11 to operate at consistently lower HPR and LPR pressures than has previously been possible on any Ego, but at the same time offers superior velocity consistency and efficiency.

So how did we achieve this?

DART Bolt - The Planet Eclipse 2011 Ego Dart Bolt Kit incorporates the latest Cure4 cushioned tip design as seen on the CSL.

In addition to the Cure4 design there are now 2 seals on the body of the bolt, one either side of the transfer port. Rather than use the traditional method of stretched, incorrectly sized o-rings as the seals, the DART bolt utilizes a floating seal design. These floating seals match the internal bore of the breech to create a perfect seal, yet allow for thermal expansion and contraction of the bolt body to occur without worry of increasing frictional drag in the bolt system or loss of effective seal. The floating seals provide the optimum compromise between reliability and efficiency. They will operate with next-to-no lubrication in even the harshest conditions without any negative effects to efficiency or consistency.

Finally the new 2011 Ego DART Bolt is fitted with a weighted insert. The small increase in mass that this insert brings to the bolt system enables the Ego11 to cycle with a lower LPR pressure at lower cyclic speeds yet still retain enough inertia to pop the exhaust valve open and overcome blowback forces during the firing phase.

DART Valve System - The Ego11 DART Valve Assembly combines an improved flow path with refined dynamics that result in significant gains in efficiency. The new design forces the valve to close off more quickly after opening, reducing air wastage after the ball has reached velocity.

The Ego11 DART Kit is designed to be used only with the Ego11 platform (Includes CSL) and is only to be used as a complete kit. Installation and use of an incomplete kit will seriously affect the performance of the marker and in extreme cases may lead to damage of the marker. Only use the DART Valve Assembly and DART Bolt together in your EGO11 or CSL Marker.

New bolt kit for the Ego 11(and CSL) that includes:
New valve guide
New exhaust valve
New DART Bolt

Hydrotec Paintballs

27 July 2012 - 03:11 AM

Some of you may have heard about the Hydrotec Paint testing at Paintball Explosion. I've got some pictures right here.

In the last one you could see the difference between some 3 week old Draxxus (it was event paint) and the Hydrotec ball fills. I just poked a hole with a toothpick with the four balls and squeezed... lol I noticed the hydrotec shell was harder to poke a hole in.
