Insight Leak

11 August 2013 - 10:11 AM

Hello,

I found that there is a REALLY small leak coming from my insight. It seems like it is coming from in between the grip frame and main frame. I opened the gun up, and found that there is an oring that seals the air channel for air coming from the asa/grip frame and into the  main frame. I relubed this oring with dow 55, but the leak is still there. I don't know what to do. I HOPE the leak isn't coming from the solenoid or manifold as this would be problematic. I still think it is coming from the oring. Should i try using a larger oring to make a better seal? What else could i try.

Insight Bolt Oring

10 August 2013 - 08:49 PM

Hello,

I discovered that my front Bolt Oring for my insight has been partially torn off. It isn't a complete tear meaning it is still a circle. It just isn't a complete oring. I think part of it ripped off and got shot out of the gun. Anyways this oring would not be able to seal air since part of its surface has been torn off. I brought my gun out and it still shot fine and had no leaks. Should i not worry about it?

insight lube

23 July 2013 - 01:55 AM

alright so i have the axe stock lube, some PE dow 33 grease, and the gold cup oil. which would be better, the axe lube or PE lube? Also, which parts of the insight should i use a certain lube? (i.e. what lube for the reg, what lube for the bolt, etc)

Freak Boring

04 July 2013 - 05:54 PM

Alright so i have a bob long gun that comes with the two piece bob long stock barrel which is .685 i believe. at the field i sometimes have to shoot older paint that has swollen so i have to use a larger bore. Does bob long sell barrel backs for their guns at different bores and certain colors? In my case polished purple. If they don't, would getting my barrel back freak bored be a good idea? Is it risky? Does it affect my gun's value? I really want to keep the stock barrel so the annodizing matces but at the same time i can't always use the stock .685 bore.

Clone Gti vs VCOM vs Insight NG

24 June 2013 - 09:58 PM

I really need efficiency, smoothness, and lightness. Those are the 3 things important to me. I am a tourney player usually in snake and i want to run the lightest tank possible such as a 48 4500 or 50 4500 and i need to get at least 5 pods and a hopper off of those tanks. feel free to discuss any other important things to mention about these 3 guns. Also what does the gti valve do for efficiency and shot quality? Is the insight the most efficiency? Which is the heaviest. Every person in my area and field i have talked to don't recommend the VCOM. They all say that the spool engine has problems such as with sealing. I also hear that the insight has worse shot quality but better efficiency than the vcom. For weight i hear that the insight is the lightest. This is a big decision for me so the more the better.
