Coming soon: field review for BOSS Paintball!
Paintball Paradyes, Behind Enemy Lines, and Palmetto Hills are on my radar, but is there another Charlotte area field you want me to check out?

I first started playing paintball in high school, sometime between 1993 and 1995. This unique window in the sport gave me a great love of mechanical markers and a strong suspicion of pumps after spending too much time in the woods using nelson-style World Wide Paintball markers. I like woodsy-speedball more than anything, played with lots of wooden obstacles at close ranges. The first field I ever played on was TriggerTyme Paintball in Columbia, SC. That field hasn't changed much in 20 years, and still defines what I like to see in an outdoor field today.
While my preference is mechanical markers, I do have some objective experience with a handful of low-end and midrange markers including the Ion, Rail, Zenith, Reflex Rail, Crossover, Axe, and Etek. My current marker is the Azodin Kaos Deluxe and I love it so much I softly caress it between matches. It feels a lot like the old Spyder (back when it was just one word) I would use at TriggerTyme, minus all of the headaches and problems you hear about with Spyders. I will gladly endorse companies that have treated me very well, including GI Sportz, Lurker, and especially Azodin.
