Marker(s) Tuning

24 March 2014 - 09:59 PM

So first off I'd like to say that I finally got myself my OWN marker, instead of using my brother's guns.
I got myself an axe, and have a bunch of spare cash for upgrades on it. Now before you say to use the gun before messing with it, I know what I'm looking for, and I've used my brothers axe for nearly 2 years now. I just wasn't allowed to mess with it.
A couple questions:
Is it absolutely necessary to put a shit ton of cases through it before I can tune it?
Mikes axe tuning is recommended correct?
I already put on a Disruptive one piece on it, but am looking to have it shoot smoother and quieter.
Is there a difference between the team boss bolts and the standard black boss bolts?
Is the lurker bolt really that finicky to make it annoying to install?
Lurker poppet; yes? No?

Also, my friend is on vacation for spring break, and lent me his etek for the 1-2 weeks. He said I can use it as long as I tune it to be as smooth as it can be. How would I go about this?

No time to look good

27 February 2014 - 09:35 PM

Senior year. Stereotypically, I shouldn't give two shits about what I'm doing. I'm only 16, and I've been accepted to 4 colleges, with 3 more awaiting acceptance. My classes should be easy, and I should have the time to do normal people stuff like have a job and do out of school activities like the rest of my class. What am I doing now? Taking 2 AP classes and a Biotech class, along with 3 other classes, and reffing/volunteering/robotics on the weekends. I get home daily at 8-9, do my ridiculous amounts of homework until 1-2am. I sleep, I wake up, repeat.

That's not what's really bothering me though. Before, I used to be in top shape. I never stepped foot in a gym in my life. All this was from doing  soccer, swimming and diving competitively. Now I just don't have the time do any of that, let alone simply work out at home. I'm gaining a slight bit of belly, and am now like 20-30lbs overweight. Why? Because after being stressed and sleep deprived, eating out for 20 minutes with friends seems like the most exciting part of every week. I skip out on lunch so at least I'm not eating 4 full meals a day, and so I eat a moderately small breakfast at 8:00pm, a fast food "lunch" at 3:30pm with friends, and some dinner at 6:00pm. The rest of the time, I'm busy doing so much things.

I hate being shirtless now, but there's really not much I can do to help it. My metabolism isn't insanely fast like some people I know, and I don't have time to work out at the gym for a few hours. No one I know goes to a gym; they do their own activities that double as keeping them in shape. But I don't have time for those activities. I cant even do a quick amount of sets before I go to sleep because I need as much sleep as I can get, so I don't fall asleep and risk missing out on material that I'd rather not spend more time studying for the night after.

"You shouldn't have taken that!"

19 February 2014 - 02:19 AM

Post a pic of you that shouldn't have been taken. Maybe you shat on the field, or tripped while bunker someone. Maybe you got bunkered and happened to look a bit too fabulous.

Here's one of me taken at 7 in the morning taken by a teammate, after a night of Monster and League of Legends, and Trouble in Terrace Town.

Eating a Great Value granola bar, and Gatorade, right after a half awake game of speedball, confused, tired, and now surprised, this was not a good picture of me.

Air tank help

11 December 2013 - 11:09 PM

So as some may have recently heard, I stripped the threads on my oldish empire steelie tank. I ordered a DP regulator to replace it, and it came in. However, I noticed that there is still pressure, 2000lbs or so, still inside the tank, and it hasn't bled out or anything over the past month. How would I bleed the air out of the tank, given that I can't do so with an asa? Do I send it in the shop?

Paintball Velocities and math

07 December 2013 - 03:16 PM

So while waiting for the rest of my class to finish the calc test, I decided to ponder paintball. Because I was in math, the thought of math implemented in paintball came up. So 12.5 is the bps limit in most official paintball leagues. I was trying to figure out the math behind that. Can anybody show the work and ease my curiosity on the matter?

Theorerically:
The paintballs move at a depricating velocity of 300 feet per second.
A person, lets say, is around 10-12 inches front to back, lets say, one foot for simplicity.
How many balls per second does one need to shoot for there to be <1ft of space between the balls at the end distance of lets say, 100 feet or so. Note it says depricating velocity, so gravity and decreasing and shit.
