There is a tournament March 2nd that I want to attend,It's a five man "race to" format; this would be my first tournament however I have been playing walk on speedball for about a year. What should I expect as far as how much paint I should shoot, rules/reffing, player conduct ETC. Thank you.
I was watching Boss Paintball Products video for the boss bolt V2 setup in the Empire Axe and I noticed that to get a shot that was easier on paint and subsequently smoother he lowered the regulator pressure and lowered the dwell to 4 milliseconds. It would make more sense to me to lower the regulator pressure and raise the dwell, that way the gun compensates for the lower pressure by taking a longer time to channel the air through the solenoid and into the bolt. So basically slower moving air but more of it in order to maintain a velocity of 280 FPS. Could someone explain to me the correlation (if there is one) between dwell setting and shot quality and how higher or lower dwell makes for a smoother shot? Thank you.
So my dad just purchased a Dangerous Power G3 because he wants to get into paintball. It's a nice marker except for one problem. when I one ball, the velocity holds up fine. If I start to shoot a stream, the velocity will drop off like I'm out of air and it will only shoot 15-20 feet. But then if I wait a second and one ball, it shoots normally. I'm thinking the regulator needs to be maintaned, I just don't have a 3/8 allen key that is needed to take apart the regulator.
I have a 2012 invert mini that I bought this past March. I was looking at the manual that the gun came with and it said that 12.5 balls per second is 10 flashes. Then I went to a field where the reffs had virtue clocks and they said my gun was shooting to fast. So I set my gun to 6 flashes which I thought was 10 balls per second, but when they checked it on the virtue clock it said 12.5 BPS. Theres also another manual floating around on the internet somewhere that says 12.5 BPS is 5 flashes. Im so confused!
So what is the amount of flashes on a 2012 Invert mini with the stock board for 12.5 BPS
is it 10,6, or 5 flashes? Also how accurate are the Virtue Clocks?
Iv'e been saving up my money from doing chores and mowing lawns and I have about 120$ saved up right now.I was wondering if I should save up the extra 40$ and get a new Z2, or if I should save up the extra 10-20$ and get a used Rotor. My only worry about buying something used is that I might get a broken product without knowing it, then I'm out 140 dollars. I also wanted to know the pros and cons of both loades. I mainly want something that's reliable, I generaly like it when paintballs come out of the barrel when I pull the trigger. I also want something pretty durable, I dont want to snap off a feedneck when I slide into the snake. So which should I go with? Used Rotor or a new Empire Prophecy Z2?
