In Topic: Order in which to buy pads

30 December 2012 - 10:56 PM

In my personal opinion it's what you play I am a woodsballer so slider shorts were first then elbow/forearm pads and honestly at the fields I play at its mostly standing and very little kneeling so knee pads aren't important.

Look at what is feeling sore the most after you play, if you find your knees are bruised/sore after the day go got a pair of knee pads, your arms and elbows bruised grab those, I found slider shorts just overall nice since my pants are lacking in protection in that area (not just the jewels but all around) but my knees have a good amount of protection so I found knee pads not necessary

Well I usually get tagged while on the run when I'm playing woodsball because I'm usually running around like an idiot, and the last time I played it was a whole day of woodsball, and I had welts everywhere (was at a field where blaze is the only option, and that shit gets you bad when it bounces sometimes.) but the especially bad blood leaking ones were all over my legs. Maybe pants? dont have pants yet. that kinda seems like a good idea now but I'm about to purchase a new pack, so im only gunna have like 55 to spend on whatever the first set of pads I get.

Sly is cheaper than the NXE on ANS right now, and looks nicer. Plus I am a pretty slim guy and I've heard the SLY packs are small around the waist so I think thats what I am gunna go with.

In Topic: Underweight after Weight Loss?

29 December 2012 - 03:32 PM

I don't know what to aim for,but obviously try to gain that weight in muscle mass. You can usually do that with protein.Go work out,and after every work out, drink 1-2 glasses of milk. That will help you gain some weight in a not-so-bad way.Or,if you don't mind the taste, drink a protein shake while working out.Basically, get protein while/after working out,and you will possibly start gaining some weight.Just DO NOT be tempted to start eating alot to gain weight,or you will be right back to point A.

Whey Protein powders. Thats the way to go for healthy lean muscle growth, or if your willing to spend more money you can buy recovery drink mixes from alot of endurance sports based product lines. Like Ultragen from First Endurance, doesn't taste half bad, good ratios of pretty much everything, not going to list it all its an extremely complex brew, hence its price tag. Consume it within a half an hour after your workout.
