Broken Tank Lip

20 January 2013 - 01:29 AM

Ill put pictures up after but I noticed that part of the lip (edge?) has cracked off. I noticed after I was done using it for the day so I must have used it as is no problem for a couple of games.

Is it safe to use?

On/Off ASA on CCM T2

09 January 2013 - 07:20 PM

Got my T2 in the mail the other day. I'm in love with this gun but I think it has some room for improvement, namely in the ASA department. Maybe I've been spoiled by planet eclipse ASAs.

Aaaaanyways, If I want to put an On/Off ASA on the CCM T2, where should I begin? Where do I order it and how do I do it?

Would it have to be a dove tail ASA?

Ego 11 multiple problems

08 January 2013 - 01:35 AM

I bought this gun used and it is in great conditions with no known existing problems. I am sure the problem is on my end, I am relatively new to paintball and this is the first marker I've owned that actually needs maintenance.

So, first problem I notice after I take the gun for a test run. I fire a single ball and the bolt flies out. Clean it up, reattach it, make sure its secured. Fire, pops out again. Clean it, reattach it, make sure its secured, fire, doesn't pop out now. No idea why.

I get 4 paintballs off no problem and then the gun starts firing off very loudly, as if it was out of paint, but the eyes detect balls in the breach. I check and there is indeed a paintball in the breach. Take it out, make sure I didn't break any paint (I didn't), and then I try again.

This time, the gun sounds like it fires properly but only one paintball shoots out for every 3 or 4 trigger pulls and at about 2 fps.

Throughout the process, didn't break any paint and no noticeable leaks. This was done with a 50/4500 empire tank filled to ~4200 PSI.

Also, this is an ego 11 with the d.a.r.t kit.

P.S. From what I hear, the Cure 3 bolt should not be oiled, is the d.a.r.t bolt supposed to be oiled?

High End Mech Markera

Relatively new to paintball and in just curious if you guys could list some "High End" mechanical markers. Do they exist?

"High End" Markers: Easiest maintenance.

Hey guys,

I'm a bit new when it comes to paintball guns. Been playing for a couple years but I didn't have the cash flow or permission to purchase a marker.

Things have changed and I have hit the jackpot this Christmas so I'd like to invest in a high end marker.

Having said that, I have absolutely no experience when it comes to owning a gun and taking care of it.

What high end marker would you recommend (price not being an issue) that has the easiest, from a complete beginners perspective, maintenance?

No preference on poppet vs spoole, but I assume poppets will generally have easier maintenance.

P.s. I'm also considering picking up a mid end marker as a backup as well. Maybe a spoole so I can practice maintenance on it?
