In Topic: Invert Mini vs. Valken proton

I like my proton, I haven't had any issues with it. I think for me at least the ergonomics of the proton feel better to me then the mini, and I like the way it looks more then the mini. Its simple to use and easy to clean. On the other hand I have only shot a mini a couple times so I don't have a bunch of experience with it to give a full comparison.

My Ion never broke paint no matter how old or cheap.

I really enjoy my proton. Only issue I had was using some really old paint just tooling around seemed like I got a couple breaks per hopper fill. I am attributing it more to the old paint then anything else. I will need to wait till I get out on the field with fresh paint to see if it continues.

It's hard to beat the price of an extcy they have a lot of bang for the buck....but I love my proton and wouldn't trade it for an extcy and additional equip.

good upgrades for that range if you want macroless would be Proton, mini, and G5. I have no experience with the G5 but had a 4 was nice other then some macro line frustration. I have a proton and used a mini both were reliable for me...I use the proton now due to the ergonomics of it felt better.
