here is a link to a copy.
mcarterbrown forum sr manual

also, here is a couple tuning guide if you haven't seen it yet.

sr help/troubleshooting guide

tuning guide

i havent played with the sr in a while, but i do remember the same issue with the last few in the stack. you can try some of the settings on the guides and concentrate on the open delay. maybe, if you slow it down enough, it will give the ball time to settle down before the bolt opens the breach.

good luck!

Thanks for the links. I have another problem. The oled display is burned out. It appears it can't be fixed or replaced. Has anyone used a UTB board or changed the frame to put in a different brd?

Anyone using a SR now as a main gun or occasional use. Did anyone ever cure the last ball in the hopper chop without a MQ2 valve. That is a awfully expensive fix even if you can find one. Most are used and might have some issues from use and handling.

Can this gun be used as a every week shooter????????

I picked one up but need a manual. Is there one online?

In Topic: 'Mag vs. 'Cocker

I used a Mag back in those days (late/mid 90's). It was a team extra so it was not my gun. I did use it for about 2 years. All it ever needed was a a little cleaning and lube. Never failed to shoot during Tourney Play or Rec play. My team mates mostly shot AC's. I used a buddies gun a few times during some Tourney Play. Frankly I felt the AC was more accurate. Never liked the moving back bolt though, but I never used the AC enough to adjust to it.

That being said. I am a returning player, I quit back in the late 90's. I have recently bought a Mini and after looking around on the BST's. I saw some pics of old guns, that really got to me. But it was the pics of Old Cockers that really got under my skin. I must admit back in the day I really did not want to learn all the ins and outs of AC's. I found myself thinking more about them after returning though.

I bought 2 AC's this past week. A SR (an electro, I believe the last WGP AC) and a 03/04 Black Magic WGP AC (Mech). The Black Magic was a one owner gun that was custom built by guy that loved AC's. Really excited about taking on the Challenge of learning about these guns. I think that AC's have a "cool" factor plus a preformance advantage (accuracy - closed bolt and efficientcy - easier to customize for more shots per tank).

These guns really did go toe to toe back in the day. They really caused an explosion of technology because of this competition. What made Ali the "Greatest" was his competition (Smokin Joe Frazier, Foreman, Norton), especially Frazier. (This might give you a clue that I am pretty old) lol.

So as a old Mag shooter I really think AC's were better, but the Mags had their strong points. In the begining they shot faster and were nearly indestructable. Maybe the finest material component gun ever built. In those days, the Mags raw quality really stood out. We played with some real junk back in the early days. Mags seemed so good right out of the box.

I don't know much about cockers. Can you tell me what brd is in this gun?

You have at least 4 good options there. Since money is not a huge factor. I would really try and get my hands on them. Especially at the same time to compare the feel of them. Go with the one you like the best.

I liked the Axe or the Mini, compared them side by side. I really like the feel of both of them. I must admit that the G6R was really nice though. If money was not a issue. I would have gone for the BL, even though I really like the AXE. I think it has the best cost to preformance ratio. The BL felt really good in my hand.

Put them in your hand, I think it will help you make up your mind.

I would still not make any decisions until after the Empire Vanquish comes out Tuesday. It might shake things up a little.

Have you held or shot any of these? Can you buy from a pro shop. Buying a high priced tool over the net really sucks. Or use some at your field?
