In Topic: Electronic Regulators?

06 May 2013 - 07:18 PM

Perhaps off topic, but I wondered about software that would adjust the dwell based on a model of how long and consistently a regulator chamber took to recharge. Anybody know how velocity tends to fluctuate given 1 shot at a time vs burst firing and if this deviation is a function of the regulator fully recharging or static friction of o-rings, etc...?

In Topic: Grill v Profilier

04 May 2013 - 10:34 AM

Girlfriend and I own both, we pretty much swap without noticing much of a difference. Grillz have a smaller profile, a bit less field of view and expose forehead to shots. Also the grillz material I think is a bit less rigid for whatever thats worth. Only real complaint I have with the profilers over the grillz is that when I'm breathing hard, the profilers seem to redirect more air up in to the goggle area, hitting my eyes.

In Topic: Comfortable feet?

01 April 2013 - 10:15 PM

What are some good things I can do to protect my feet from getting blistered? Just a single day of playing(from 10am-4pm) leaves the skin on the back of my heels literally falling off.

So what can I do to prevent this? I've tried patching the back up with gauge and such but it still happens(not to mention it typically falls off). Are there some nice shoes/boots I can look into?(when I try shoes on at the stores they feel comfortable, but then after I buy them and break them in I realize they aren't that comfortable at all. Surely there are some specific brands or such I can look into? However I am a bit of a budget player). Is there something I can do with my feet?

Any help is appreciated, this is pretty much my number one problem when I go out and play.

I've owned the same pair of Asolo hiking boots for 8+ years, started out miserable with them, but they broke in really nicely and they're the most comfortable shoe I own, wear them to all the outdoor games. Girlfriend picked up a pair of Lowa hiking boots and loves those, plays with them also. Probably need to go and try them on to see how they feel, keeping in mind they might wreck your feet before they break in fully.

You also might want to read about how far your toe is supposed to be inside the shoe, whether you need a wide version, more arch, stuff like that. It also might be as simple as just making sure your heel can't slip out of them or move around before you buy them.

In Topic: Empire Tank Yellowing?

31 March 2013 - 03:00 PM

Yesterday I played for a couple hours with my Empire 48/4500 tank. After an hour or two I noticed that my tank had turned a yellowish color. I tried wiping it off, but nothing happened. The yellow stayed on the tank. I don't know what the problem is or if it will affect the tank or not. And this tank is not that old. I got it around this time last year maybe mid april. Thanks for the help guys. Also, since this happened I want to get a tank cover. Can someone tell me which size of this one im supposed to get? Because I see 48 ci but it then says 20 oz. Link is here http://www.ansgear.c...gloveblack.htm. Thanks for the help

Was the field byop? Were you getting shot at with yellow paint? I brought a steel watch to a game once and it got hit with some nasty paint that a player brought from home. Would not come off no matter how much I scrubbed, dyed my arm also. After a few days it just went away.

In Topic: Tank Length Problem

Depending on your asa, you might be able to slide it back to add length, and coupled with this, you should be able to reach the desired two inches. The Dura 77 is a little longer, but not by much, and I couldn't give you exact measurements.

Thanks, I already slid the asa back quite a bit and I figured I'd use that to extend an inch, any idea how many of those reg extenders you can stack?
