So I am needing a backup gun, I am looking at 2 different ones and am not sure which to get. For $50 I can get either an ER3 or a 98 custom. I want it to be mech and reliable because it will only be used when my main gun fails, and the $50 is all I want to pay. I don't play much speedball. So what is everyone's opinion? Extreme Rage ER3 or Tippman 98 custom.
I have a 2011 Proto Rail and am not sure what to do about the barrel. A lot of people tell me that I need to upgrade the 11" that it comes stock with to a higher quality 14" barrel. Other people than tell me that changing the barrel is a waste of money and I will gain nothing from upgrading it. So My question is should I just keep the little stock barrel? or should I go out and get a 2 piece 14" barrel?
I currently have a Halo b and it will need replaceing soon, I have to press the power button 20 times before it turns on. I seen the Valken V-Max are on sale and was wondering if anyone has used one before and if they are any good? I was decideing between the Valken V-Max and the Halo Too. Does the V-Max run constant or only when you shoot like my halo b does? Any input would be good.
I have a new 2011 Proto Rail, my question is how often should I dismantle and lube the regulator? I have taking the gun out once and afterwards I removed the bolt, cleaned and lubed everything, but I did not do the regulator. Should I be doing the regulator maintenance after every use or every 3 or 4 uses or what?
I just got a 2011 proto rail and am having trouble with it chopping balls. I have put about half a hopper or about 100 balls through it and chopped 4 or 5 balls. It has anti-chop eyes and they seem to be functioning normally, and I am using a halo b hopper that appears to be working. I have the gun set to 12.5 bps and semi-auto and I suck at walking the trigger so I doubt I am doing anywhere close to 12.5 bps but balls keep chopping. What could be causing this, I am a newb and don't know much about the marks soany help would be good. Also iI am using empire evil paintballs.
