Mini all the way. I've had a mini, bought it used for $200, and it worked like a charm. I used oil instead of lube, it still worked. I forgot to lube it a few times, still worked. Never had an o-ring break and I played almost every weekend for a year. It's basically a smaller AXE. And an Axe under $200 on eBay is a little sketchy. Minis are much more common in the sub $200 range and are basically an Axe without an on/off asa. I have big hands, and am 5 foot 11 in and I don't think its small. I like how compact it is so when I peek out a bunker I am tight and a smaller target. I don't find the grip annoying at all either, I like it in fact. The gun is very sturdy. I would stay away from Proto's. My two friends bought proto rails and they BOTH had MULTIPLE problems of o-rings breaking, asa unscrewing, o-rings popping off, and much more. Several times when we went paint balling they couldn't play because of an issue. Also, if your brother is smaller, stick with a poppet gun as it takes less maintenance.

Yep Axe is the best here but I would also consider the JT Impulse on ansgear for $499 on sale from $1049. Thats a pretty high end marker for half price (people thought it was bad because it was "JT", but I other companies built it). Its a really good gun imo since I prefer stacked poppets, but Axe is also a beast.

In Topic: Hopper or Marker?

forgot to mention its a 9v not an 18v so it just has 1 button to turn it on and off and you can't change any settings or anything. But I heard it uses the same mechanism as the Pinokio and it feeds 15 bps easily consistently and holds 220 i think but it does stand pretty high up and makes me easier to hit and i don't know if they make speed feeds for it. I will probably get the hopper and then maybe next year get a new marker.

In Topic: Universities with Paintball Teams?

How I would suggest doing this is looking at colleges you are interested in already based on price, academjcs, location, etc. and then see which ones of those have paintball teams. And see how much the school helps fumd the teams if more than one does.

I know NDSU has both an engineering program and a paintball team they support well but Fargo is in the middle of buttfuck nowhere.

Thanks bro I will look into the colleges and then see.
