Starting a club at work

29 April 2013 - 06:42 PM

a group of my co-workers organized a private party at my local and now the buzz is all about starting a club. ive been asked to offer my knowledge and assistance but have a few concerns, you guys have been awesome so your insight is greatly appreciated.

concerns- how should i approach keeping new players interested?
concern- there's always a concern about safety, what if?? how do i address this?
concern- cost? i can break it down, but for people that want gear should i approach my local for a discount or direct them to TECHPB to buy used?
concern- there's alot of pressure on me to organize this group and i want to make everyone happy but if complaints arise how do i address them?
concern- there's a vast amount of diversity in the group, moms, dads, kids, ex-military, is there any reason i should seperate the more exp from the less for the sake of skills being different? i wouldn't want a mom or noob getting blasted and walking away upset.

like i said before there's alot of pressure placed before me and if anyone has ever organized such a club or group how'd you deal with these issues? thanks in advance.

Setting the dwell on my axe

23 April 2013 - 02:07 PM

I know you guys have helped me in the past, but i can't seem to get my dwell right.. i have the newer axe that doesn't require me to remove the cover. ive tried watching a few vids on setting it but can't get a difinitive answer on exactly how the process works. i've also looked in the manuel and it doesn't give specifics. i have a boss bolt ready to go and just need a little assistance.. thanks in advance..

well i pulled the trigger and bought a boss bolt, took it and my axe to my local shop and they pretty much made me feel like a complete idiot for wasting 35$. not only did they say it was a waste of money but pointed out that they've never had anyone install one that didn't cause any issues at some point. i was told that the machining on the delron was "shitty" and the axe doesn't get any better than the stock set up. by lowering the operating pressure you do conserve air and go easier on fragile paint.. my question is it worth dicking around with the marker just to save a trip to the fill station??
