2011 proto rail issue

22 July 2013 - 10:44 AM

I have been using a rail for the past few years (bought new summer 2011). I has been a great marker for me until recently. The last few times I have taken it out, I am able to get a few games in, but as the day goes on, I loose all velocity. It will fire 1-3 shots without issue, then goes down the tube, to the point that paintballs are literally going maybe 5 feet. I have changed the battery when this happens, no change, cleaned and lubed the bolt, still happens after a few games, gotten more air, no change....

Any suggestions? I would hate to think that I have to go out and buy another gun! I have maybe shot 3 cases max out of it! Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

2011 proto rail air leak

17 April 2013 - 07:11 PM

I purchased a 2011 proto rail mid last season. Used it about 6 times then had to pack it away for the winter (Canadian winter doesn't eat me play for 5 months a year!!). I made sure to lube all o rings on the bolt before packing it away. I busted it out of storage today to get it prepped for a game I have coming up in a couple of weeks and noticed that when gassed, there is a hissing sound coming out of the barrel. I unscrewed the back and removed the bolt to make sure all was ok (although I admit that I am no gun tech and can only really do a passing visual inspection). All seemed ok. I also put in fresh battery. I then regassed the gun only to hear the same hissing! Can anyone offer me any help! Would hate to think my gun is crapped out and I'll have to go back to my tippmann c98!!!
