Right, so i bought myself an Etek1 a while ago, used. When i tested out the marker, it shot AMAZING, went through like 5 pods of paint like nothing, smooth, consistent, everything i could ask for. Now, the problem started when i got home. I am completely addicted to tinkering..FML.. and i completely disassembled the gun. So upon opening the solenoid, i saw the spool was covered in some sort of white substance, at first i thought it was just gunk that needed cleaning, so i took it all out, only later do i deduce that it was lubricant (d'oh). so upon reassembly, it went haywire, wouldn't shoot, only made a soft puffing noise, and after a few trigger pulls it would finally cycle (world's worst FSDO?), oh and it leaks now, not a lot, but enough to be a problem.
now i ask the fine community that is TechPB:
1. Would an unlubed solenoid behave in the manner described?
2. Please list each and every reason for an Etek to leak from inside the grip, as i've said, i tinker, so its altogether likely that i messed something else up.
3. What is the stock setting for the HPR?
Thanks in advance, every useful post gets +10internets
